Until I hear it from you ...

Oops. I missed another journal day. I'm going to have to put myself on some sort of schedule so I can get back in the swing of things.

Since I've been a total slacker in all things lately, I made a list of things I need to get done today. There are VERY exciting things on it.
For example:
  • fold yesterday's laundry
  • vacuum
  • clean the bathroom (didn't I do that LAST week?!?)
  • take the dogs on a walk
  • read a book

I know you're wondering how I can contain myself with that sort of exciting stuff happening. I also need to run up to Target to pic up dog food before it goes off sale. I really don't want to do that because I'll have to hunt down a pair of shoes. And a bra. Blah.

Since I'm making lists, here are some things that amuse me:
  • Cole had open house last night and his teacher told me that she was very impressed with his science project. *blink blink* Okay. I didn't mention that we cobbled that together over a two day period. Frankly, it was sub-par work, especially for him, but who am I to argue when the teacher says he did a good job.
  • I only read 1 Zombie book in March. I follow up that horrifying revelation with this: I only read 1 steampunk book in March also. In a strange twist, they were the same book. The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook. Honestly, the book was pretty light on Zombies but since they did play a part I slotted it into my Zombie reading challenge with a smile.

Speaking of which (and since I have this overwhelming urge to bullet point everything today), here's the breakdown of my 2011 Reading Challenges as of 03/31/11.
  • The Zombie Challenge: 4/10
  • The Steampunk Challenge: 2/10
  • The YA Reading Challenge: 27/40
  • The Shifter Challenge: 22/60
  • The Vampire Challenge: 30/60
  • The Show Me The Free Challenge: 29/30
  • The Paranormal Erotic Romance Challenge: 6/10
  • The Paranormal Romance Challenge: 44/60
  • The E-Book Challenge: 86/100
  • The Horror & Urban Fantasy Challenge: 36/60
  • The Morbid Romantica Challenge: 68/108 (main challenge), 17/45 (alternate challenge)
  • The TBR Challenge: 5/12

I had to upgrade the Shifter, Vampire, Paranormal Romance and Horror & Urban Fantasy Challenges because I'd already hit the set goal. I'm getting mighty close to completing a few other ones, too.

Speaking of books:
Book #129 - Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer (Twisted Tales #2) by Maureen McGowan - Darker than book 1, I liked the twist on the classic tale.
Book #130 - Bone Crossed (Mercy Thompson #4) by Patricia Briggs - I kinda love this series. It's detailed without being heavy and overwhelming. Plus, I love those secondary characters.
Book Blogger Hop, Follow Friday, & Tagalong Friday (04/01/11) - I don't think I'll ever top last week's post with the hot picture of Jason Behr. Isn't that a sad thought? I did say that the way I read is reminiscent of urban sprawl, though. That's amusing. To me, at least.

Did you notice that I did hit my goal of 130 books by the end of March? I don't know whether I should be proud of myself or hide in shame because all I've been doing lately is read. :)

Well. I've gone on long enough here.
