I can't forget you!

Yesterday, in my excitement over meeting new authors and whatnot, I forgot to mention that I went and got a flu shot. Since I was there anyway, my mom told me I should get a whooping cough/tetanus booster. Okay. No big deal. Right? WRONG! My fucking arm feels like it's going to fall off. Tetanus shots suck. Of course, now I can go gouge myself up with rusty nails and misshapen pieces of old metal and not worry about such trivialities as lockjaw and whatever else you get when you don't get a tetanus booster every so often. But is it really worth it? I mean, rusty nails vs an arm that feels like it's been ripped off and used to beat someone. I really don't see a clear-cut winner here.

Basically, I've been bitching about it on Twitter all day today. Sorry. It hurts. A lot.

Despite my career ending injury, I managed to make it out to the kids' school for their Halloween parade. Cole refused to dress up but Hailey was as cute as cute could be. She was a werewolf. I think. I wore my wings. And I got so many compliments on them. See? Only my family thinks I'm weird for the wing thing. Or maybe it's just Heather.

I really should have taken pictures because my outfit was beyond awesome. Purple striped tights, wings, and knee high boots. Yes, I am super cool. Thank you for noticing.

Anyway. Book stuff.
Book #229 - Fathom by Cherie Priest - I had a tough time writing up this review. As much as I liked the book, it was a hard one to pin down.

30 days of books... Day 47 - I had some serious issues with the Blogger image uploader for this post and there was some creative html going on in the end. *g* It all worked out. More or less.
Book Blogger Hop - This week's topic was on one thing you could have if cost wasn't an issue. Like every other person who blogs about books I chose a library. I am not original.

My aching arm wants me to catch up on Vampire Diaries. Okay. I'll do it.
Tomorrow: Halloween party. I am cooking. Be afraid.
