Should of been easier ...

Cole and I went to see Clash of the Titans today. I must admit that I liked it a lot. Perhaps it was my movie boyfriend's prettiness. Perhaps it was the cool special effects. Either way, I was caught up in it and would definitely watch it again.

Meanwhile, back on the ranch ...
Book #50 - The Dead Girls' Dance (The Morganville Vampires #2) by Rachel Caine - When Shane's dad rolls into town to help take down the vampires, Claire and her friends have to find a way to stop him. Claire's psychotic college nemesis tries to do a little more damage, Shane is accused of killing one of the vamps and Michael has to make a choice that might destroy the friendship they're trying so hard to build. I liked the look into Shane's life. He's so damaged but he's willing to try to break free of what his father has turned him into to keep Claire and the others safe. Big thumbs up from me.

Book #51 - Midnight Alley (The Morganville Vampires #3) by Rachel Caine - To keep her friends safe, Claire is forced to bind herself to the most powerful vampire in Morganville. To make things even worse, the bodies of dead girls start turning up and everything is pointing toward a human killer. And to complete the triumvirate of bizarre, Claire is now taking lessons with a very old, very insane vampire who might hold the key to saving the entire vampire race. Where in the last book we got a glimpse into Shane's family life, this book takes us deeper into the world of the vampires and the lengths Amelie will go to preserve their society. This also sets the groundwork for some big stuff coming in the next few books ...

Book #52 - The Reckoning (The Darkest Powers #3) by Kelley Armstrong - I've been WAITING for this book. Like, WHOA! Even with all that buildup it didn't disappoint. Nice. Having found temporary safety with a small contingent of people working against the Edison Group, Chloe and her fellow Supernaturals still have a few things to worry about. For one, their rescuers don't seem to believe that their powers are as strong as they say they are. For another, Derek's werewolf blood puts him in danger from those that think he's too dangerous. Chloe has to use her ability to see the dead to try and sort through all the lies and half-truths they're being told. Overall, it was a downright fun book. I hope we see these guys again (whether in the continuation of this series or popping up in the non-YA Otherworld series) because it still feels like there's more story to tell here.

In case you couldn't tell, I loved the series. Loved it.

I have no excuses for how much I read today. None. I also watched a movie and wrote. Only a couple of hundred words, but I wrote. Go.Me. Just, go!

I'm done now.

i only have 100 more pages in pride and prejudice and zombies! it's only take me about a month to read just over 200 pages.

At that rate you should have it finished in two weeks!
