FF-Quote-The book of my life

All the paths are overgrown ...

I have a very random collection of stuff I want to share. Random enough that I had to make a list because I knew I wouldn't remember it all without one.

1. I sometimes like having a movie on as background noise when I'm home alone. So, yesterday I decided to flip through some of the movie channels to find something background worthy. For some completely unknown reason I stopped at Arachnophobia. I wasn't really paying attention to it. I turned around and saw the little crawling spiders on the screen and literally DOVE for the remote to change the channel. I have never moved that fast. Ever. *shudder*

2. After movie debacle #1, I decided to try something that wasn't going to give me night terrors. I put on High Plains Invaders. This was worse than that alien abduction movie I watched the other day. There were these man-eating bug-things that were terrorizing a town in the old west. Umm, okay. Here's the best part. James Marsters was the rough and tumble cowboy that was going to save the town! James Marsters! I'm not saying the guy can't act. Seriously, he's not bad in the acting department. I am going to say that he is nowhere as pretty as he was as Spike. Not even close. I didn't watch the whole movie. I couldn't. It was that bad.

3. The moon last night and this morning was gorgeous. A tiny crescent. Just a sliver.

4. I wanted to say something about the Cartoon Network show Total Drama Island (which is Total Drama Action in season 2) but I'm almost thinking that will need an entire post unto itself. I have a lot to say about that show. Starting with how I thought it was the dumbest thing on TV and ending with how I watch it with Cole now and laugh my ass off. So, TDI/TDA post coming in the future!

5. My note for this one says "Out of ND? Read the boy's." It took me a minute to figure out what I meant. My first thought? "I don't read The Hardy Boys!" The I realized that I was talking about Cole's books. Oops. My brain is sometimes not on the same wavelength as the rest of my brain. Huh? So. I'm out of Nancy Drew books. I'm not quite ready to read anything heavy and deep. Cole had asked me a while back if I wanted to read the series he's reading and I decided to take him up on the offer. The Chronicles of Prydain series by Lloyd Alexander. Wow. Welsh names for people and places. Those are tongue twisters. There are crazy double letters that make me blink and vowel combinations that make my eyes water. I'm fairly certain I'm mis-pronouncing almost every name in the book. That said, it's a good book and I'm about halfway done with it. Cole and I discuss what's happening in detail. It's like our own little book club.

6. I think that is all. Good day, sir. I said good day!

That's all, folks!
