Calvin-This is how I do my thing

I don't wonder why.

I'm beginning to hate this heat with passion. A fiery passion, in fact! Grr. You know, the hot is bad enough but this humidity is actually KILLING ME! It's no fun at all when you just constantly sweat. Even right after you get out of the shower. Is it just me? Is my house a supernatural conduit for the blazing inferno of HELL? Go away, hotness! Go! *points emphatically*

Yeah, so today kinda sucked in the afternoon because it was so damn hot. The morning? Nice. Not as cool as I like it, but still manageable.

Needless to say, I am more than ready for both Fall and Winter. Bring it!

I read another book.
Book #85 - The Whispering Statue by Carolyn Keene - I didn't like this book. The mystery felt more like a series of lucky coincidences than anything else. It was lazy writing. When in doubt have someone show up that gives the answer Nancy needs. On top of that, the mystery really wasn't a mystery. Or if there was a mystery it was so cleverly disguised (read as: poorly and/or lazily written) that I didn't see it. So, yeah. There's a mysterious woman on the train. Big deal. And there's a house that's fallen into disrepair with a statue of a girl whispering. But the only reason Nancy and her friends go to the house to see the statue is because a random woman tells Nancy that she looks just like it. Huh? It was disappointing to say the least.

That being said, the book that I'm about 10 pages away from finishing is much better. That, however, is a story for tomorrow. :)

You know, I meant to get this journal up by mid-day. For no reason in particular except I wanted to do this and write up the monthly recap for blabapalooza. The re-cap has yet to be written. *blink, blink* I'll do it next. It's not like it's super taxing on the brain or anything.

Back to School night for Cole tomorrow. Cool.
I'm out. The sweating to my chair is starting to get to me. They should totally have a "sweaty" mood. Totally.
