TW-Gwen-Tough day

It's almost time ...

Book #60 - The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie - I can honestly say that this is the first Christie book I've ever read. I'd even go so far as to say it's the first I've ever picked up. Did I like it? Oh, yes. It was delightful. I'm terrible at guessing who the killer is in mysteries. I can usually pick out plot points of movies and TV shows from a mile away but murder mysteries leave me guessing. And to read about a murder written by the queen of murders? Brilliant. I suspected everyone up until the bitter end. Awe.some.

I didn't go to the wedding I was supposed to go to today. I got this killer migraine around 10:30 this morning and it was bad enough that I didn't want to drive over 17. That freeway's a bitch to drive under normal circumstances. Basically, I didn't want to kill myself on one of the curves. Word.

That said, my mom and I boxed up all the books in the bookcase we're going to sell instead. Seven boxes worth of stuff. Not all books. We have a box of games. A box of writing stuff. A box of pictures. Crazy. We also have a box of 100 year old books. That's kinda cool.

Now that all the other stuff is out of the way and my headache has subsided, I'm very tempted to randomly pick out the next Agatha Christie book I'm going to read. I'm on vacation. I can totally read until my eyes bleed.

Tomorrow is Cole's birthday. I can't believe he's going to be 9. NINE! You know when people say that time really flies? Yeah, it does. I kinda want to do a picspam of my kid through the years. But that would involve finding my pictures (Woe to the days before digital cameras!) and scanning them and uploading them and ... yeah, lots of work.

I think I'm done for now.

The books wouldn't make enough money. I only say that because I checked out the prices on them. :)

i can't believe you didn't go to the wedding!

I KNOW! I totally had a bad-ass migraine, though. I couldn't have driven. And my dress was so pretty. :(

I do that to you all the time, don't I? I did hear the horn but I assumed it was directed at someone else. Sorry! :(
