SW Lego-The gangs all here!

You could use a good kiss!

Here's the floorplan for my new house. OMG! The places are beautiful. We got to walk through one furnished model and 3 uncompleted units. The 3 bedroom that we toured is actually the one we're going to buy. It has a wrap-around porch and a HUGE family room and OMG! I'M GOING TO BUY A HOUSE!

I was pretty impressed with how green they've made this place. They use renewable resources whenever possible (bamboo flooring, recycled ... oh, I don't remember) and they did such an awesome job.

My mom and I have to make our appointment for next week to go in and choose any upgrades we're going to want and sign the first of mountains of paperwork. I'm so excited that we decided to do this. I really can't tell you how it made me feel to imagine my big, beautiful bookcase on the tall wall in the family room. It indescribable.

I meant to take pictures, but I got too excited and was dashing about from room to room. I think my mom took one or two but we both got caught up in the looking and forgot to record the moment.

September seems so far away. I want to be in that place NOW. You know, if it had windows. And carpeting. And appliances.

I feel like I have a lot to do between now and then but I want it! I want it!

Okay. I'm done.

Oh. A 2 story. If they are not already doing it, you might want to have two AC units ... one for downstairs and one for upstairs.
That was a regret I had when I had a two story built. It got soooo hot upstairs during the summer.
Our sales rep only told us about the option to have a second AC unit after the house was built. Gee, thanks, dude.
I put in a window air conditioner for upstairs, and then the housing association turned around wanted to fine us unless we took it out. It's all so absurdist.

And just how green is it?

If I had unlimited money resources, I would get a geothermal heat pump system for heating and AC and solar panels to dramatically reduce the carbon footprint and keep the energy bill amounts quite low.

It's as green as possible while still keeping the cost of the home affordable. Just about the only thing they didn't add was solar paneling. They said it was far too expensive. *shucks*

It's not a compound until we own two of them side by side. Word.

OMG, congrats! How fantastic for you!

Thank you! I'm so terribly excited!
