She's mine now!

Book #39 - The Looking Glass Wars (Book 1) by Frank Beddor - My work BFF was reading this book and it sounded so cool that I had to get my hands on it. Mwhahahahaha! The basic premise is that Lewis Carroll was told the story of Alice in Wonderland by a young girl named Alyss Heart. However, he got it all wrong. So this is Alyss' story. The way the palace coup went down. The way she was brought through the portal to Victorian England. The way she found her way back again. And how she discovered the strength of her imagination. The villain, Alyss' Aunt Redd, is a horrible, horrible woman who makes a wonderful enemy. Personally, I liked the book. I thought it was extremely imaginative and well thought out. I loved the little details that got tweaked - The Mad Hatter becomes Hatter Madigan, the best of the Queen's guardsmen and a member of the Millenery. Okay, I honestly can't do it justice. Read the book. It's a quick read and it's very good.

In other news, I have a super awesome pedicure. Yes!

I'm out. For now.
